SplitX exists to make splitting bills with friends less awkward, not to collect more data about you than it needs to. This page describes what we collect to make the app work, and what we don’t do with it.
Your account details (name, email), the groups you create or join, the expenses you log, and the settle-up history within those groups. Group invites are sent to the email address you provide — if the person you invite doesn’t have a SplitX account yet, they’re automatically added to the group the moment they sign up.
Expense and balance data is used only to compute what you owe and what’s owed to you within your own groups, and to show your activity history. Currency is currently fixed to ₹ (INR) across the app.
You can leave a group at any time, and you can delete your account from within the app. Removing your account removes your personal data from our systems, subject to the minimal retention required for the shared group-balance records other members still rely on.
Questions about this policy can be sent through the app’s support channel. This page is a product-stage summary of our privacy commitments and will be superseded by a full legal privacy policy before public launch.
